Let’s hear it for knitting short socks. They’re cool in hot weather, they keep your feet happy on wooded hikes, farmer’s market forays, and neighborhood strolls. Their heels add just enough padding to keep your shoes from being jerks—plus they’re short. Wool is the secret weapon here: breathable, moisture-wicking, and magically not stinky. Whether you’re an athlete, a couch potato, or a bit of both, wool shorties are where it’s at—and they’re not long. They also happen to be ridiculously fun to knit. They’re small and portable.
