Pack your needles and your favorite sweater—we're heading to Alaska with Irish knitwear designer Carol Feller! Who wants to join us on a 7-day knitting adventure aboard the Holland America Noordam? My dear friend Carol and I can’t wait to invite you on board for a spectacular knitting party! Carol and I met over 10 years ago when we both started on our knit design journey. Every time I brought a group to Ireland (where Carol lives), we would have an extended knitting class with her, and then head off to the next stop on our itinerary. We want more time together… so we are going on a cruise!
Carol is one of the most joyful, generous teachers I know. Trust me, you are going to love her. Together, Carol and I will be your guides as we cruise the stunning Inside Passage, taking in glaciers, wildlife, and some of the most amazing scenery on the planet—all while knitting our faces off every single day (and night).
I'll be designing a brand new knit just for this cruise. Last time we went to Alaska, our cruise design had glaciers, bergy bits, and blowholes!! Knitting classes will take place on sea days, so you can explore when we are at port!
Itinerary:
July 3 – Arrive in Seattle, Washington (overnight included)July 4 – Depart Seattle through the Puget Sound
July 5 – Day at Sea
July 6 – Juneau, Alaska (via scenic Stephens Passage)
July 7 – Scenic Cruising Endicott Arm / Dawes Glacier
July 8 – Sitka, Alaska
July 9 – Ketchikan, Alaska
July 10 – Victoria, British Columbia
July 11 – Return to Seattle, ferry trip to Bainbridge Island,
July 12 – Depart Seattle for home

ReplyDeleteIf you practice between now and the cruise (16 months) and are comfortable taking on new techniques and reading a pattern I bet you'll be able to do them!
