Circular Cast On Video Tutorial

Here's my first video tutorial: Circular Cast On
You can use this cast on for both Quest and Centrino, and the Trapeze Mystery KAL!

Grab some scrap yarn and a set of double pointed needles and give it a whirl...

Shooting video is a fun new challenge for me and I look forward to doing more of it in 2011! I can't wait to hear what you think...

  7. Great and clear video technique. Would a slip knot have the same effect as the overhand knot?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks! It doesn't work with a slip knot because the thread that "slips" is not the tail. With this technique you use the working yarn to create the sts, and pull up the tail to tighten the circle! (I had to pull out some needles and try it!)

  9. Wonderful!

I was about to crochet a circular cast on, and knit along from there, but now I don't have to go find my crochet hook. Huge time-saver as I haven't a clue where the darned thing is...

    Thanks!
