Love the Brickhouse!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite songs is "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon & Garfunkel.
Teenage Dirtbag always has me singing along while appreciating that "I'm a middle-aged squeaky clean mummy" would be a more accurate version. But I wouldn't mind being a middle-aged shawl-knitting mummy... in Schaefer Yarn's Heather of course!
ReplyDeleteIt's sacrelidge to an Eagles fan, but I love Clint Black's Desperado.
ReplyDeleteLove love love your designs. I like Roxanne by the Police.
ReplyDeleteBrick House has always been one of my fav songs with a great memory. My girlfriend and I were out at the House of Blues one night and the group played Brick House and were looking for dancers to come up on stage. My girlfriend grabbed me and brought me up. Meanwhile our husbands were sitting there and someone made a comment and her husband said "that's my wife", then found out he was talking about me, my husband quickly said "That's MY wife" One of the best nights I ever had!
ReplyDeleteI really like the song 'I want to hold your hand' by the beatles, actually I love anything by the beatles.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler. Its one of those songs that I crank up and sing (scream) at the top of my lungs!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally jumping on this gravy train! Congrats on learning that super awesome skill, by the way.
ReplyDeleteFavorite song: Papa was a Rolling Stone, by Sly and the Family Stone.
A belated congratulations on your recent publications, too! I've been remiss in my blog-reading rituals and totally missed that post!<3
I wish I could learn how to do those fancy computer tricks! I like the song at the moment is Shock Attack with Mick Jagger and the Jackson 5.

ReplyDeleteBrickhouse is lovely!
Yes it is a great song and design!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've been cranking out the patterns, which look great. How about A Hard Day's Night to keep the creative juices flowing?
ReplyDeleteIn honor of the pattern, I will say Foundations by Kate Nash. It's really quite down lyrics, but I LOVE the chorus, her voice and the music. I love listening to it over and over when I'm working on something. Not G rated though! Part of the chorus is: My fingertips are holding onto the cracks in our foundation,/ And I know that I should let go, but I can't./ And every time we fight I know it's not right,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. It's just awesome.

ReplyDeleteI'd go with Tusk by Fleetwood Mac. The live version with the USC marching band as backup. It's the song that made being in a marching band cool.

ReplyDeleteElla Fitzgerald's amazing talent always moves me, and whenever I need to smile one song always does the trick, A-Tisket, A-Tasket. Google Tisket Tasket youtube fitzgerald for the clip from the Abbott & Costello movie, or Google Tisket Tasket youtube boomerang for Ella's fun latin version with Yogi Bear lipsynching.

I just saw a post about your contest. Great fun. My favorite is "Over the Rainbow" - Judy Garland
ReplyDeleteOooh - love the pattern, would love to try the yarn. I know intellectually that random can be first, last or middle, but somehow it feels like being last or near the end makes it very unlikely to win. But maybe being number 77 is lucky.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Hey Jude by the Beatles. Or maybe ...
