Tip Toeing in the Tulips

Proper Etiquette Socks
Yarn: 1 sk Schaefer Yarn Nichole in Emily Post

Well, it's snowing outside, so the fact that I want to celebrate spring with this sweet sock pattern is more important than EVER!  Introducing Proper Etiquette Socks: named after the Schaefer colorway I used in the sample, Emily Post.  I needed this color more than ever today, and processing photos of colorful yarn and tulips was simply a joy!

Proper Etiquette Socks

Proper Etiquette is worked toe-up with a triangular shaped heel gusset.  A line of yarn-overs defines the gusset making it easy to follow the heel shaping.  Pattern is written for multiple sizes and instructions are given for lengthening the foot if necessary.  Diamond lattice lace is worked on the top of the foot and around the leg.  The lace pattern is a simple 8 round repeat, easy to get the hang of and memorize!  Originally published in Creative Knitting, Spring 2010.
