Just One More: A New Serialized E-Book

It's time to tell you about a project I've been working on behind the scenes....
JUST ONE MORE!
This collection of 6 shawls is based on my severe addiction to knitting... I’ve always said that one design begets the next but I found this year that as I worked on a new pattern I’d come up with a similar and equally intriguing concept I’d want to explore. So, the NEW shawl patterns in this collection are all based on previous designs, but re-imagined. I just can’t stop myself! And, because I know you are wondering, some designs will have options to add beads... but not all of them!

This is a serialized e-book, and one design will be released in the first week of every month from May through October of 2014. As with my other e-collections, video tutorial links will be included to help you with any tricksy bits. The designs in this project are so exciting, and I CANNOT wait for you to see them!

May's pattern: Magnify Shawl (It is included in the e-book should you purchase it!)
Inspired by the edging in the Magnify Cowl, Magnify Shawl is a long crescent shaped shawl.
First the sawtooth edging is worked over 39 stitches for the length of the border. The edging‘s “teeth” incorporate alternating sections of garter stitch, stockinette stitch, and beaded ribbing.

Once the edging is complete stitches are picked up along its straight edge and then simple garter stitch short rows are worked to create the shawl shape.

You can read more about Magnify, and the yarn I used (Propanicus Moon Proper Sock... a superwash BFL that loves beads) on Ravelry... thanks to Gale Zucker for a fabulous photoshoot!  Can't wait to work with her again!

  4. OK - here we go again. I purchased your full book - can't wait to see the rest of the shawls. The first one, MAGnify, is spectacular. Not sure that I don't even love it more than the cowl we just made, and I really really like that!!!!!! You are keeping my needles "steaming." Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with all of us.

  5. Laura, how is an e-collection different than a PDF? Do I need to have an e-reader? Can I still print a PDF? Sorry for all the questions but I'm still in the dark ages :)

    1. Great question! This actually is a pdf, so no e-reader needed! Sorry for the confusion with that!

  6. Hi Laura - I would like to get a hard copy of the book - didn't see it anywhere. Will it be available in hard copy? How much is the cost, if available? Also - sometimes when I buy a magazine, I get the hard copy and an e-copy. Is that an option? Cost?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi! Sorry... this is only available as a pdf... since patterns are being released monthly there would be no way to do a hard-copy, plus the investment is just too great for my little company to justify! You can purchase the pdf and print it out though as an alternative!

  7. Just purchased the entire book and can't wait for each pattern release! Here in San Diego watching so many families struggling with the wildfires, this was the brightest spot in my day. Knitting is keeping my anxiety down!
