Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace...it is addicting and it is also exciting to see it "bloom" into something totally new after blocking.
ReplyDeleteYour lace patterns are gorgeous! I am a fan/customer of your jewelry too!
Lace is so much fun! One of my favorite things to knit. :) wordlily AT gmail DOT com
ReplyDeletei crave knitting lace, just as sometimes i need short rows and garter stitch....something to soothe my brain and soul yogawithnan at gmail DOT com
ReplyDeleteMy very first finished project was a large lace shawl. While socks hold the majority of my heart lace seems to fill that girly nitch that I so often overlook. It's pleasing and soothing to work. :D
ReplyDeleteI love having a lace project going as well as a no thinking project, depending on my frame of mind.
ReplyDeleteeduininckATsbcglobalDOTnet
The best thing about knitting lace is when you block it! That glob of mush is magically transformed into a thing of beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love to knit lace. I've been knitting for 7 months and consider it a huge accomplishment to be able to understand a lace pattern now!

Love both patterns!
ReplyDeleteI am a non-monogamous knitter, so I always have one "mostly st st" kind of project on the needles, a pair or two of socks (for portability), and ... ohhhh ... something lacy!
ReplyDeleteI love knitting shawls, I can't help it plus I love love love cash/silk blend! thanks.

Lace is what I knit when I want to escape into a pattern from the problems of everyday life.
ReplyDeleteI love knitting lace, decision of what pattern to choose & how it just blooms when you block the final piece. I'm considering taking one of your classes, just to learn & finesse my techniques.
ReplyDeletejoberhardt(at)gmail(dot)com
I'm in a bit of a lacey phase of my knitting life at the moment! It seems all the projects are some form of lacework... I love to see it grow and to see how the careful deliberate placement of holes in our knitting can turn it into something stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the chance to enter this giveaway!

Love to knit lace. Looking forward to your class in Harrisburg, PA in Sept. jescas@dejazzd.com
ReplyDeleteI do love to knit lace! I enjoy the rhythm of a simple lace pattern. Haven't yet knitted much lace with intricate lace patterns, or any lace shawls. Clarus and Skywalker are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Craftsy course!

I am intimidated by lace - it seems so fussy! But, Clarus and Skywalker are too beautiful - time for me to give it a try, I think!
ReplyDeletendrew2685@gmail.com
I just bound off a lace shawl for my sister's birthday ... time to find a new project, don't you think? I really love the look of Skywalker particularly!
ReplyDeleteI love to knit shawls. I am going to do your class on Crafty.com. Can't wait. If I win I can use the yarn for that! Love you designs!

I am learning to love lace - it isn't nearly as difficult as I had thought.
ReplyDeleteThe patterns are beautiful! Congratulations on the course. I am sure it will be a great success.
Lace is my favorite- it's like a good novel- engaging characters, plots and subplots and a truly satisfying ending!
ReplyDeleteLove love love lace! Love love love your lace patterns! Have enjoyed all of them and look forward to knitting these. knitterdmb@comcast.net
ReplyDeletei have become addicted to knitting lace - from watching it grow as I knit to blocking the finished piece when all it's beauty has bloomed. I can be reached at tsmscarp@sover.net
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I've been having a ton of fun knitting lace this summer, making shawls and socks for fall and holiday. It's a wonderful break from the heavy winter knits. Your designs are lovely!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful patterns, and the yarn is yummy looking. I feel I am ready to do a harder lace shawl than I have yet tried.
ReplyDeleteI haven't knit much lace, but I sure do have a lot of it. When I do knit lace, I've always had fun with it! Right now I'm knitting the Baby-Blanket-That-Won't-End, but the end is in sight...perhaps I'll pick up something lace as my next project!
ReplyDeleteHave been drooling over these 2 patterns since I saw them on Craftsy. Have never knitted lace before but am ready to give it a shot!

Thank you!!
These are just gorgeous. I am working on my first lace project right now and so far it is looking beautiful but it is challenging, so I definitely want to love to knit lace. I am the like stage right now and hope to get to the love stage at some point :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE. LOVE. LOVE! lace and would absolutely love to win your pattern and one of these yarns!! Thank you. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWhat super designs. I like lace knitting a) the sense of satisfaction when a project completed, b) affordability, if one is on a limited budget the lace knitting projects take a fair while to complete, so I am not constantly needing to buy yarn.
ReplyDeleteI love knitting with lace but I haven't actually knit lace with lace yarn yet. It has been in the back of my mind to do so for quite a while so maybe this is my chance? :)
ReplyDeletepeatmoss83 at hotmail dot com
I can't tell you how much I love these 2 patterns! Knitting lace has become my new fave project. Crossing my fingers that my name gets drawn for this one. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love lace shawls where the motifs tell a story about the name of the shawl, like these two do.
ReplyDeleteSadija from Rav
I am just breathless looking at these! Awesome shawls!
ReplyDeleteI love lace. I love knitting. Wish lace would flow through my fingers but I'm slow and careful.
ReplyDeleteWhen you block your lace it's like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon - magically transformed into something beautiful. Was just at Stitches Midwest and bought some beautiful lace yarn - can't wait to use it.
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace. I have knit 2 lace shawls and have learned something new each time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering me in your giveaway.
I've signed up for the Craftsy course and love all your designs!
ReplyDeleteHowever, my husband has laid down the law regarding increasing my stash so I really would love to win a kit!

Have started cautiously into the world of lace knitting and find it so rewarding ! I absolutely LOVE Clarus with the central double spine detail and pointy tips, just a lovely twist on the trad triangle shawl to make it stand out from the crowd. Looks do-able for a relative lace newbie like me to do too,...:)

ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace but so far have stuck with larger yarns and needles - I would LOVE to try Skywalker with one of these fabulous lace weights!
ReplyDeleteI'm a beginner at lace knitting, and I would love to improve my skills and learn more!

I haven't done gobs of lace knitting, but what I've done I've loved. I adore both patterns, but have to have Skywalker. It's just gorgeous!! And that color is beyond delicious!! (Rav: grandmatutu)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE knitting lace!! I am so excited for the new lace patterns and the online class. I would love to win the giveaway!! You can email me at knit1bit@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI do love knitting lace. Knitted lace is not only lovely to look at, but also has the elasticity that makes knitted fabrics special. That makes knitted lace an especially special fabric! Thanks so much for sponsoring an exciting double giveaway. Scifiknitter@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI LOVE lace-whether I knit it or someone else does! Thanks for the chance to win this wonderful giveaway. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love knitting lace shawls! I've attempted small areas of patterns on both sides but mostly pattern on the right side. Both are lovely! Thanks for the chance to win CLARUS! That is a stunning design!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely shawls! I just signed up for your course and can't wait to get started! I love shawls and need to knit a Fall Colored one SOON! Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI have only knit lace once before but I loved it! I think my favourite part of knitting lace, or anything, is seeing the end product. After knitting, washing and blocking, I love seeing a lovely (something) sprawled out on my couch in its lovely lacey goodness!
ReplyDeleteI love knitting lace, especially shawls and I was so thrilled to see you on Craftsy! Thank you so much for a chance to win and for a lovely giveaway :)

I am totally addicted to knitting lace - whenever I look at my stash, no matter what I bought the yarn for, and no matter the weight, I wonder if maybe I could make something lacy out of it. I would love to win the Skywalker kit. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteOH I love Clarus and would love to knit that lace!

Laura, I love it when YOU knit lace for us, especially since you are now "liberated" to use new and different brands of yarn. Love your notes on Marakeesh - I think I'll have to buy some for myself.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,

Your Lace Shawls are gorgeous! Lace Knitting is my passion. I hope I win!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win either of your lovely patterns. I'm happy we didn't have to choose one because they are both so lovely. Lace knitting helps me take my mind off of the less pleasant things trying to clutter my brain. rosebudscott1 at yahoo dot com.
ReplyDeleteLace knitting is a firm part of my life. I love knitting lace! I knit shawls and scarves for myself, family and friends. Not really ornate patters like the Niebelung tablecloths, they are beautiful - but I prefer wearable patterns that fit into our modern lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck to all the commenters for this contest :)
I just love to knit AND TEACH lace. Absolutely love your new patterns! The Clarus is breath taking!
ReplyDeleteI love knitting lace. There ars so many nice yarns and pattern.
ReplyDeleteKnitting lace is addictive, watching the shapes grow, I'm always saying "just one more row" as the night gets later and later... Lace is almost as bad as cables that way for me. Leads to many an exhausted morning.
ReplyDeleteI love knitting lace, most of all knitting shawls in lace patterns. Even with something that is not that common at all to use like sock yarn. Never a cold neck or head with a nice warm shawl for the winter. No matter how many holes there are in!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of holes (is there a more posh name for it in English?): a friend of mine took her five year old daughter with her to the knitting club. Afterwards the girl told her mother that she didn't understand that there were people knitting holes on purpose in their knitwear, while she was so hard trying to learn to knit and not make holes ;-)
That is why repeat this over and over again: a day without knitting is a day without laughter!
Have a nice weekend, all! Ciao, Fleur (----> Fleurtje Eliza on Ravelry)
P.S. Love the Clarus Pattern!
I love to knit lace. I love to see how tiny and wrinkly it is, and then when you block it, it shows the lace pattern beautifully. I can't wait to knit your newest patterns!
ReplyDeletei love love love lace..i used to love cables more but lace is so easy to do and you dont need a cable needle and it really amazes non-knitters..thanks for the giveaway! raineoc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteOther types of knitting come and go but I tend to always fall back on lace. Lovely yarns and lovely patterns. I would LOVE to win!

I love to knit lace, but find it's difficult with children around. Need more practice-thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love the result of knitting lace, more than actually knitting it. I find that I must sit at a table and prop up the chart. I'd love to win something though!
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace, I can't wait to finish and block to let the yarny goodness out! I want to win to teach my good friend the lace addiction!

ReplyDeleteAnd I love both of your new shawls... so lovely :)

I was knitting simple things occasionally for 20 years. Then a friend showed me the beaded mitts in your 3fer pattern, and I was totally energized to learn new techniques. Knitting is so much fun now! Among other things, I've made 4 lace scarves, rectangle shape, and I was just contemplating whether I could handle stepping up to a shawl when you announced your online class and the Skywalker pattern. The pattern is gorgeous and the class is coming at just the right moment for me. I will be signing up for the class and knitting the shawl one way or the other, but I'd love to win some yarn!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO--luscious patterns!! love lace knitting!! a match made in heaven!!

ReplyDeleteJulibeth
I've been hooked on knitting lace, and your patterns, since taking a class from you for Winterlude. I recently finished Ennoble and an currently working on Frances. I can be reached at scampanella@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to try a big lace project. I made a cowl and a simple shawl (most of the texture in the shawl came from short rows and/or changing needle sizes) but am afraid to try a full size shawl with a true lacy pattern. One of these days I'll take the plunge
ReplyDeletew00t! I have only done lace scarves. I don't know which kit I would pick, both patterns are awesome! Thank you Laura!
ReplyDeleteI always love your designs. The amethyst color is gorgeous. I like how you can take 1 or 2 skeins of a yarn and make such a beautiful piece of clothing. I love to knit lace.
ReplyDeleteKnitting lace is the greatest! Not only does it really impress people, I always think it's magic when I block it and the beauty of the piece comes out.
ReplyDeleteYou can email me at lisamira at the trusty old gmail dot com.
Oooooo ... I'd love to knit up either of those gor-gee-ous shawls with those beautiful yarns :-) I "discovered" lace knitting this past winter and certainly could use something in my 2011-2012 winter stash! Thank you for sharing your purls of knittin'dom! Maggie
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace because it is like magic when you finish it... and it is a mess... then you block it -- and it becomes a masterpiece no matter how simple the lace pattern is!
ReplyDeleteI love lace with all my heart! I love knitting it, wearing it and seeing other people wear it!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win either kit,to use for my first attempt at lace knitting. I have been knitting a year now and lace is next on my list to do.....that and cables!

I've not done much lace knitting, but what little I have done I've quite enjoyed. Winning a kit (of awesome yarn and awesome pattern, no less) would give me a convenient excuse to stop knitting practical things (baby gifts) and knit something spectacular.

Oh, I really love to knit lace. I love how it looks, so delicate and dainty. My favorites are full of lace shawls along with my shopping cart on Ravelry is full of lace shawls that I eventually plan to buy and knit. I really, really love Skywalker and would love to win that kit.
ReplyDeletemjlegg on Rav
I enjoy lace knitting probably more than any other knitting. I find it facinating to watch a pattern develop. You can choose a pattern for easy TV knitting or one that requires complete silence and a clear head. The results ae always spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI really love many of the awesome lace items that others knit, but so far haven't attempted any myself. Really like your "Skywalker" shawl.

Love lace knitting...especially your patterns:)
ReplyDeleteI have been knitting the most simple lace for about a year now, and have been planning to up my skills when my son started kindergarten. He has started, so here I am on your site and taking your course on-line! I am so excited to really learn this craft. Lacework is always what I ooh and aah at in books and yarn stores. I just love lace.
ReplyDeleteI love lace knitting, both shawls and scarfs (expecially your scarf Undulating Waves). Your two new shawl patterns are beautiful and I would love to win!!

I think Clarus may be the shawl I've been looking for for my wedding shawl... Seeing as how it's in October, I can't be too crazy. I love that Oyster color which will match my ivory dress so well! I love knitting lace but have hardly knit any this year. My heart hasn't been in it and I've been doing a lot of stockinette. Maybe the changing of the seasons will help me change that.
ReplyDeletethank you.
I love knitting lace and skywalker is in line!
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace and I love your designs. I sure hope I win! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace. I usually knit lace shawlettes for friends and family. They are always a big hit.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try one of your lovely shawl patterns.
ReplyDeleteCarrie@tahquechi.com
I love knitting lace the most of all - shawls, socks, you name it!
ReplyDeleteI have just started knitting so have done pretty basic pieces. But I greatly admire lacework and want to learn how to do it. And shawls are my passion! So the two seem a perfect match.
ReplyDeleteIf I can scrape up enough money I want to take your lace shawls class. However, I get most of my yarn at second hand stores so you can see I am on a limited budget.
Your work is magnificent. Hopefully someday I will be able to emulate it to some degree.
Thanks for letting me look.

ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace, primarily in shawls, because it's impressive. I also like it because gauge isn't absolutely critical. If you're off a smidge, it will still look beautiful. If size is a concern, you can block it smaller or larger.
ReplyDeleteI am just starting to knit lace I have done one shawl and am starting my second when the box arrives with the yarn I ordered a few weeks ago. I have also done some lacy socks and a few other smaller items but I am addicted. I love your shawls.

I want to love to knit lace, I want to be good at knitting lace, I just need to take the time to actually pay attention and do it properly!
ReplyDeleteI am not an experienced lace knitter but I am making progress! It's great designs like these that spur me on. Good luck everyone. Buffythesage on rav.

ReplyDeletei love lace,

if we didn't knit lace
we'd be lame.
I would really love to try knitting lace, the pattern for skywalker is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love lace because it never gets boring. I also really enjoy the challenge of fixing errors I've made in a lace pattern without actually ripping it.
ReplyDeleteI am warming up to lace knitting. At first I thought of it as 'hole-y' knitting, but now I see the beauty and also the mental stimulation. I can crank out stockinette pretty fast, but my brain isn't engaged. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I'm a beginning lace knitter, and I'm having fun--these are beautiful! DeborahSW on Ravelry
ReplyDeleteI mostly knit socks (some of them lace), but I've been thinking I'd like to knit a shawl for this winter.

I have discovered my love for lacy shawls about one and a half years ago, but only after knitting the Swallowtail Shawl in a worsted weight have I realized how much I love lace, and not always necessarily in lace weight, but in any weight yarn! Thank you for a fab giveaway!! I can be found as Knitmish on Ravelry...
ReplyDeleteLOVE clarus! Would love, love, love to knit this!!

I've just started to knit lace and I love it, just need to learn more about the process.
ReplyDeleteLace scared me at first - I heard people talking about these monstrous 800+ stich cast ons and thought no way!!! But I've learned there are lots of wonderful SMALL lace patterns out there! Your designs are lovely, and I look forward to your Craftsy lace class :)
ReplyDeleteI have just jumped into the world of lace, and I am totally in love! I really love the silk camel blend in purple, it fits the pattern you designed so well! Thanks so much for sharing! Spinfoolish@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have recently started knitting lace and have been stymied by my apparent lack of counting skills. Knit one, rip two it seems like some days. Still, I keep giving it a try because I think knitted lace looks so lovely! inglisl (at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI recently got into knitting lace and I love it! So pretty and interesting to knit. Thanks for your giveaway!

I love the look of lace and keep trying to get good at it!
ReplyDeleteI love to knit lace and really want to do it better....that is why I have signed up for your class already. Plan on starting it after an upcoming surgery (will be house bound sort of, no driving for 2 months!) So, I really need good projects to keep me busy. Lace is so interesting and makes such pretty designs. I am coveting Breathless yarn already and am contemplating buying some for another project. This would give me a great chance to try it out. Sounds like gorgeous yarn.
