Anything by the Pointer Sisters but especially the Neutron Dance! Love Brick House, too, by the way and remember when it was new.
ReplyDeleteI love Brick House and the rest of the 70's motown sound- those were great years & would love to knit this pattern and give Solemate a try. The following link has sole in it, but different.

My favorite song that has SOLE has to be Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours". If that song is playing, I'm singing along and dancing.

It's more R&B than funk, but Aretha's "Think" makes me want to have a chorus of backup singers while I preach the truth.

I'm not sure why, but the Blues Brothers jumped into my head with "Soul Man" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2me1whctwc Might be because I live in Eugene, where "Animal House" was filmed and legend goes that Belushi had the idea for Blues Brothers after hanging out with a local musician, Curtis Salgado, while shooting that film. Or I might just be a bit out there today! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat popped into my mind is the Stevie Wonder song Superstition.

Haven't listened to that in ages and just realized I don't have any Stevie Wonder on my iPod. Must fix that.
